Dorm Designing 101: Designing Your Desk; Session 2

This session is going to be talking about dorm room desks and organizing your desks with shelves and different ways to place things. Below are some different ways to keep your desk organized and pictures to go along with each.

Ways to Organize Your Desk:

1) Have an organized bulletin board~ There are many adorable styles and ways you could do a bulletin board, but I would suggest having it hang above your desk. You could place a to- do list, calendar, pictures, etc. (right picture)

2) Have Shelves by desk~ Shelves above a desk look so cute if they are organized the right way. There are so many options as to how you go about them, but I think they are absolutely adorable. On these shelves you could put a number of things- cute pictures and picture frames, pencil containers, baskets, etc. Shelves are a simple, classy way to store things, yet have them close by to be ready to use at any time. 3) Organize Your Drawers~ If your desk has drawers, you should make sure they are organized and you can easily find things in them. A cute idea might be that you paint the drawers in chalkboard paint and label each of them in chalk. Or add a chalk label that you could find at Target or Walmart

Adorable Items to Place on Desk:

1) Cute Lamp~ One of the best accents to add on your desk is a lamp because there are so many different patterns and styles of lamps and shades that you could go with to match your dorm's style.

2) Cute 3D Letter~ Another cute item to add to your desk would be an initial that you could set on your desk as a cute decorative item.

3) Pictures~ Another cute way to decorate your desk is to add pictures with family and friends and roommates. You can maybe do a DIY and make all sorts of cute frames and put any pictures you want.

4) Markers, Pens, Highlighters, Supplies, etc.~ There are all sorts of different school supplies you can use and you can organize them on your desk accordingly. You could place them in cups, organize them in a cute pouch, etc. I absolutely love school supplies and they can be organized by brand, color, type, etc. This is definitely a cute idea that you should try as a cute way to decorate your desk and a smart way to access all your supplies. 1)Pink and gold Dorm room Desk: I love how this desk has a gold tint to it with a bulletin board that is super cute and adds a fun touch. I also love the E on top and the cute lamp and lamp shade!

2)Dorm Room desk, Organized: I love how each drawer in this desk has cute dividers to keep the drawers in sections and neatly place each thing where it goes properly.

3) Cute Organizer with Desk Supplies: I love this organizer idea! It has a place for each thing and you could get several of these to place around or even kin your desk to use like the dividers in the last image.
