Wedding 101: Making the Perfect Invitations; Session 4

So, as I talked about in my last few posts, color schemes and themes and having a checklist are all very important parts to the wedding process, but the first thing your guests will see that has to do with your wedding, are the invitations. So you want to make sure these are suitable for your wedding and leave a good impression and really set the tone for your wedding. I have created many different types of invitations and ways to go about with the mood they set and attached links and photos to go with each.

Types of Invitations:
1) Rustic Lace Invitations: These are a little more antique because of their brown background and have almost a country-style feel to them, but the lace adds some glamour to them to give them almost a glamorous antique  feel. These are really adorable and would go well with a Country- chic theme that I mentioned in my post about themes.

2) Classy Lace Invitations (LOVE THESE): These are absolutely adorable and unlike the rustic lace invitations they are letter-pressed and colored to give them a more classy, formal look. Also, on the example I put in the link, they added gorgeous calligraphy to make them all the more classy. These would (obviously) go well with the classy wedding theme I put in my theme post.

3) Simple, yet Fancy Invitations: These have a really simple, white background, but they have gorgeous calligraphy which combines the two names into a simple, elegant invitation. This would also go well with the classy wedding theme but also a simple, traditional wedding. If you didn't want to incorporate your colors into your invitations, this would probably be the way to go.

4) Format Designed Invitations: These have many different layers to them and are in more of a playful way. They are strategically placed one on top of the other in many different formats. This has a playful look to it and gives it great innocence and joy with them.

5) Pocket Invitations: These have pockets to store part of the invitation's information and I like this invitation because you can incorporate your colors all throughout. These have a simple look with varying font sizes. I love these and love that they have a pocket! <3

6) Pressed Color Invitations: I absolutely love these and how the gray is subtly in the background with white on top. The pattern at the top and bottom of these is SOOO cute! Definitely adore these and are probably my favorite because of the simplicity of the elegance. (LOVE)

7) Rustic Lace Cute Invitations: These are so cute and are cut into kind of a four square diamond thing with lace and are absolutely adorable and have that country- chic feel again.

8) Fancy Bow Invitations: These are totally elegant and would definitely have to go with a classy wedding. I love the silk bow on these and you can easily incorporate your theme colors in there. The font and patterns are both totally fancy. If you are going for a fancy look with a pattern I would totally go for this one.

9)Vintage Wedding Invitations: These have a totally antique look about them. The faded and torn print that look almost like an old document. I think these are so cool and obviously would go well with a vintage theme.

10) Simple, Classic Invitations: These have a super simple fun look to them and are super straight-forward, yet have a playful font. I would probably use these in a traditional wedding, but really you could use them for anything.

I hope this was helpful to giving you some ideas and different invitation styles. Be sure to stay tuned for my next post.
